For ambitious generalists in tech who overthink and second-guess themselves

Your brain isn't broken. It's just running old patterns.

I coach high-achieving, neurodivergent generalists in tech on the beliefs that are running their career decisions. We will work through what isn't working and figure out what does so you can put an end to the cycles of burnout.

Without this work

This is what an untested belief is costing you

The loud, visible parts of tech look more scientific by the day. If your background is in communication, creativity or the humanities, it's easy to start believing the door is closing — that your skills are decorative, and you should just learn to code or get out.

You stay in a role you've outgrown, because at least this one is certain.

You got the new job — and now you're working at emergency speed to keep it, to a standard nobody but you ever set.

Somewhere along the way, tech stopped feeling like it was built for people like you.

"I could never get another job" sits behind decisions you don't even notice you're making.

What changes

Once the story stops running the decisions

I help brilliant mid-to-senior tech professionals leverage their strengths and variable bandwidth to level up without burning out. Whether neurodivergent or not, feeling simultaneously deficient and outstanding is perplexing and exhausting.

Quiet the voice that says you're not enough

Break the shame cycle, recover faster when things don't go to plan, and replace self-criticism with self-trust.

Stop fighting yourself

Handle uncertainty without spiralling, build a relationship with yourself you can rely on, and stop escaping into procrastination and endless scrolling.

Take back your power

Make decisions fast, without endless research or reassurance-seeking. Set boundaries without guilt and build a life that supports you, not just everyone else.

I know this from the inside

The talented people I work with are creative, empathetic systems thinkers, often highly qualified in multiple domains. That combination is a strength, but it's exhausting to hold when you feel like you're judging a single misstep as a personal character flaw.

At 41 I got my first job as a software engineer. Before that I was a commissioning editor at Lonely Planet, a job the 2008 crash took slowly enough that I didn't notice it happening, then seven years of freelance editing that dwindled to nothing.

I had three children and no evidence someone like me could do this. What I had instead were conclusions I'd never tested: that I was good with words, but bad at maths, creative, not technical. I tested one of them and found out it was wrong. I doubled my salary in eighteen months. What changed things wasn't grit or discipline, it was changing my thoughts, after years of trying to pretend I was fine.

Some of my roles: magazine editor, travel book editor, commissioning editor, mum of three, late-diagnosed AuDHD-er, software engineer — now a three-time certified coach.

PS. Suspecting you are neurodivergent counts; you don't need an assessment or a diagnosis to do this work, and it counts if your children are neurodivergent too.

What it looks like from the other side

When I felt stuck in my career, I kept putting off conversations with my boss, always waiting for the 'right time.' Lucy helped me shift my mindset, cut through my excuses, and take action. Thanks to her coaching, I've started pursuing opportunities more confidently and am actively advancing in my career.

My weekly coaching sessions with Lucy over three months have changed my life. She helped me develop tools for practicing self-compassion, question my self-limiting assumptions, and feel good about myself. Lucy is kind, highly intelligent, empathetic, with a wicked sense of humour.

How working together actually goes

1

Book a discovery call

A short, free call to talk through where you're stuck and whether this is the right fit — no pitch, no pressure.

2

Enrol in More Than Enough

If it's a fit, you're in — no form, no lengthy process. You'll get a welcome pack and we'll set your start date together.

3

Weekly sessions, real follow-through

Twelve weeks of regular 1:1 sessions using tools like the Spiral Breaker and the Enough Week — working through what isn't working until self-trust holds without you.

You stay in the role you've outgrown, or you white-knuckle your way through a new one, because certainty feels safer than testing what you actually believe about yourself.

That belief was never tested. It was just repeated, until it started making your decisions for you.

Through coaching, clients move from inconsistent achievement, and the frustration, burnout and self-criticism that comes with it, to sustainable progress. The real transformation is self-trust and self-compassion that outlasts any coaching engagement.

If "I could never get another job" is lurking behind your decisions, let's work together to build some better assumptions. You don't have to do this on your own.
